The realignment continues…
We start off this epsiode discussing the very brazen, very public assasination of Russian journalist Darya Dugina - Daughter of Russian political theorist and much maligned public intellectual Alexander Dugin - and how the West’s framing of her death and the significance of her father to the Russian state is a lense through which we can examine the absurdity of the Fifth Estate.
Then we launch into what will be the first of many discussions about one of our favorite subjects - the geopolitics of Turkey, how it projects power and uses it’s unique leverage to dictate the terms and conditions for it’s state, Eurasia, and the world.
Turkey related topics convered include a meeting in Sochi between Erdogan and Putin, dirty wars in Syria, possible rapprochement with the governments of Assad and the Islamic Republic (Iran), getting the drop on Jared Kushner, and generally taking joy in pissing everyone off just a little bit.
